SPECIES: Litoria aurea — Green and Golden Bell Frog
CLASSIFICATION: Vulernable
The Green and Golden Bell Frog is found in varying shades of green: from dull olive all the way to bright, emerald green. Found along coastal lowland areas of eastern NSW and Victoria, you can identify this 'large' species of frog by the largish blotches and yellowish stripe running from behind the eye all the way down the lower back. Under threat from habitat removal, degradation and fragmentation, diesease and predation to say the least.
